Journey to becoming parents: Re-do/Moby wrap/good baby/family/fears

Sadly I deleted his first bath post, can't remember what it said, opps, but I will repost the pics at the bottom. Probably in no particular order. We gave him his first bath with us on Sunday.

MOBY WRAP

I know I have posted pictures before and but I will post a couple more. I absolutely love our wrap and it is one of the favorite things I brought for him. We get lots of good bonding time with it. I usually put him in it once or twice a day. It is how he travels to the hotel breakfast every morning. It helps keep people from touching him as much since he is so young. Although there was one lady that still patted on him, can you blame her? He is slightly irresistible.

GOOD BABY

Ty is amazing! We are so in love! The first couple days he was clockwork eating around every 3hrs. now he thinks he is a big boy and likes to eat every 2hr-2.5hrs. He has had one stretch today where he went 3hrs, but no more than that. Sometimes I have to work with him to let him know its ok to wait 2hrs, I have refused to feed him any closer together than that. He will stay awake for a short period after most feeds. Every 3rd or 4th feed he will stay awake for a good amount of time and that is fun. He is doing so much better with spitting up since we switched formulas. He has only spit up twice, and one was super small. Overall he is a really good baby, and seems to be laid back so far. We both just love him so much.

Family

I'm very excited my parents are coming to visit us/vacation this week, they are flying in tom night and will leave for home early Monday. They had been planning a different vacation and decide to switch so they could come and meet Ty. We are planning on taking a weekend trip to Sedona/Flagstaff area, that is where the red rocks are. From there it is a day trip to the grand canyon, only problem with that is its sooooo hot here not sure we will be able to do that with little man. We will see if it cools down any. Today it got up to 106! We think more family will come and visit later, and that would be great, if they are able.

The little guys back home keep making me giggle. I know this is hard for them to understand. I have tried to talk to my nephews about adoption a few times but can't seem to find the right words for them. However they are so accepting it doesn't really matter. My little cousin was talking about Ty and was telling people that he is in Australia hehe. Tonight my nephew asked if he would speak english haha. They are so sweet and excited.

Fears

Tom is two weeks from our court date. Everyday I get more scared that we won't be Ty's forever family. I don't even want to think about that, but sometimes it slips in there. I can't imagine how bad it will hurt. I truly feel like S is confident in her decision. Since the birth father's name and whereabouts are unknown I fell like it is unlikely he will come forward. I doubt he even knows about him, which is sad because its not fair to him. I do worry about the tribe. I worry they will want him to stay with his heritage. There is not anything I can do about any of this, but it is just scary.
