I don't have much time so I will try to do the short and sweet of what is going on...... Some of it may not make sense to everyone but don't have time to explain it all right now....
Tuesday we got called about a baby born situation and asked if we wanted our profile to be shown. We went over all the info and decided yes. I got THE CALL Tuesday night at work that we were chosen. I was physically at work, but everyone knew I wasn't really there.
Little man was born on May 5th. He is Native American/hispanic. Today I got to see a picture of him and he is absolutely GORGEOUS! Due to the fact that he is 1/2 native american, it makes it a little bit more difficult for parents right to be terminated. So therefore, parents rights have not been terminated, but so far everyone believes it will go ok.
We are flying out to AZ to meet him in the AM. He will be staying with us in the hotel while rights are being terminated and all the paperwork gets done, so we may bring him home. I am estimating that we will be staying there for 2-4wks.
There are no words to describe the emotions we are going through right now.. This is such a crazy whirlwind. I have been so busy with paperwork and getting ready for the trip that I haven't even really had time to stop and think. I have been coordinating with three agencies and two lawyers (no time to explain that, but you can imagine the paperwork that entails).
so that is the down and dirty, think I got all the big facts in there.... Tom night once we are all settled in the hotel with him I will try to update again. Tom. will be another crazy busy whirlwind of a day!!!!
