Legalities/Pictures

I researched adoption a ton, but there is so much to learn. I tried to learn as much as I could but I was not prepared for ICWA. I knew that it was different, hard even, to adopt a Native American child, but that is all I knew and basically all I still know. Call me crazy but I honestly don't know all the procedures. I know the parents have rights and the tribe have rights, and all need to be terminated. I don't really know much more than that. I have asked questions to the lawyer that will be terminating rights, however he is S's lawyer and could not talk to me, without talking to my lawyer. I may talk to him this week. We are trying to set up a conference call with all parties.
But honestly, whether I know the procedures and process well or not, my job doesn't change. My job is to take care of and love Ty. And I can handle that, that is a job that I enjoy. All the legal processes are out of my control and there is nothing I can do to make sure it goes the way I want, so it doesn't bother me all that bad that I don't know what exactly is happening. Maybe you think I'm crazy for trusting the lawyers to do what they need to do, but I know I would not be any help to them. So I try to just focus on my job and love this baby. Many people ask me questions about the process so I felt the need to tell you guys I truly just don't know.

We drove back home today, and Ty slept the whole way. Jeff and I both discussed how he already looks bigger, makes me sad.
