New mom/mommy and daddy time

I know that I am a NICU nurse. But first and foremost, right now I am a new mom. And I worry about as much and probably more than any new mom. I am constantly calling my mom and asking questions. Example: "what kind of water should I use for his formula?" At work, we use ready to use formula, never mix it. I kinda wish people didn't know what I do, so they would treat me like a new mom and not a NICU nurse.

Daddy and I make sure we each get one break during the day and have an opportunity to leave the hotel room and prevent us from going stir-crazy. Daddy likes to spend "daddy time" at the pool and taking a swim. For "mommy time" I like to either take a walk or run a few errands, because I didnt bring a bathing suit, however my parents are bringing me one tonight, so maybe I'll go for a swim tom.

Today I went to walgreens to print pictures and pick up a few extra things. I'm so excited to see the pics. So you guys get ready I will probably post lots of pics in the AM :). Most likely won't have time to tonight since we will be picking up Nana and Poppy from the airport.

Ty is doing great! Last night he slept for 3.5hrs once and 3hrs the next time. We slept for quite some time. Daddy took first shift and stayed up til around 1230 then I feed him at 400 and 700. So we both got a good amount of sleep and are feeling good. :) Right now little man is sleeping on my chest, mouth wide open, like he likes to do.

  1. I just love reading your blog posts...somethings make it hard to keep that "NICU nurse identity" but I love your schedule! :-) If there is anything you need just let me know!! Hugs!!
